I'm starting to understand how to read a music sheet more and more. Somethings still look overwhelming but I'm trying to get it. I practice using the book, following along.

practice times so far

On Monday 9/6/09 I played from 4-6pm

On Wednesday 9/9/09 I played for an hour

I'm about to start practicing right now and hopefully practice until 8 pm

I printed out a few songs but have only found one I like (Sarabande) Its simple and short and is a good warm up for me since I havent seriously played in about 6 years! Its definitely taken some practice to get used to the piano again and all the chord progressions and fingers placements. I'm still struggling with some finger placements on a few of the chords. I wasn't able to get to the bookstore this week (honestly I'm not sure why I just must've forgotten) I looked at the beginner book and believe I can play the songs at the end of the book so I'm not sure if I should get the next level up book. See you all soon : )

First Shot

Today I took my first shot at the piano. I never played the piano before in my life so I was starting from the very bottom. I learned the right hand "c" position and the left hand "c" position. I also learned about the Treble Clef sign and what it meant, and the bass cleft sign as well. All in all a good first start
